Jealous

My boyfriend was telling me about this girl that he used to be friends with. Before she moved to America he told her that he liked her but they both knew it wouldn’t work out because of the distance (we live in Australia). That was before we started dating. He just randomly told me the story last night after she rang him and they had a long phone call.

I’m feel like I’m overthinking it but now I keep thinking that because she’s not here he settled for me? She absolutely gorgeous and the opposite to me too. It sounds like they were really close and had a deeper connection then me and him for years.

I feel really ashamed but I just feel kind of jealous and I don’t know how to stop it ☹️

What should I do?
