Do you feed your baby pouches?

My first baby had / has eating issues, we were never big on pouches with her but we had to meet with a paediatrician and dietician. They gave us lots of recommendations and one was to not feed her pouches at all, so we never bothered with our second at all. There reasoning was they are just too easy, they don’t use the proper muscles that they need to be using while eating and it’s better for babies (after the initial period of time while learning to eat) to be eating full fruits and vegetables, so they are getting the vitamins and minerals but also used to their textures, specific flavours and smells.

We use pouches once a day for a before supper snack. It’s something easy to give him while I cook supper. 
I never used them with my first. She hated all purées and we did blw. My second was super pick water (still is) so I tried pouches twice a day with him so I knew he was at least getting some form of veggies and fruit.

I bought reusable ones on amazon and fill them with yogurt and applesauce for snacks.

We started to but our little one doesn’t really like them.

Occasionally. She gets them on the go, or in a pinch and when her teeth are hurting too bad to eat solids. Usually they just act as a “supplement” for us not a typical meal/snack

If by feed you mean she takes one mouth full and then squirts the rest all over the floor? Rarely . I wish so she could have them in the car

We do pouches if we’re in a jam or if she can’t safely eat the veggies we are having. Otherwise we give her bananas and strawberries, or roasted potatoes and carrots.

I only give applesauce in pouches when we’re on the go. I haven’t bought any “baby food” since around 10 months since she’s been doing so well on solids.
