Surgeon?

Question

I wanna become a surgeon but I’m scared because it takes years.. I’m also in nursing right now and it takes 4 years so should I do it?

It does take a lot of time but it's up to you to decide if its worth it or not.
I'm in medical school and two weeks to finish my 3rd year and start my 4th (medical school is 6 years long in my country), and I'm also considering either trauma surgery or emergency medicine. 
Time goes by really fast. I started medicine in 2017 and will finish in Dec 2022. I can't believe myself we are already finishing 2019. I blinked and six semesters passed so fast! I'm sure ill blink one more time and ill be finished.
Its a lot of hard work and sacrificing of your time with family/friends and sometimes even your mental health. Ill be postponing starting a family too, luckily that was already my plan to begin with. But I do not see myself doing anything else, though I'm on middle of finals and so damn tired. It will pay off in th future.

Do what your heart desires but take your brain with you. And what I mean by that is for instance I would love to be a veterinarian but I have no way of paying for 10 years of school and theres no way I’m going to be happy while being broke and living at my parents house for the next 10 years while I’m in school.
