Broken heart

Tatelyn

When I was younger (13) I noticed my heart was always beating faster then my friends. I couldn’t keep up with the gym class and I got picked on for it. I’m over weight and very slow when it comes to exercise. At 17 I went to the doctor to see what was wrong with my heart , they put a monitor on for 24 hours and sent the monitor off for the results. Jump ahead 6 weeks I still hadn’t had any answers, so I called the doctors office and they tell me that I’m fine I just need to lose the weight. So I started to exercise a little more to the pink that I was walking 3-5 hours a day after school. It just got worse. This time I chose my own doctor and I explained what had happened before and she told me almost the same thing- lose weight you’ll get better- so I asked for an EKG and a monitor. Within hours of leaving the doctors office they call me and say my ekg was off and the monitor will show it more in action. Two weeks after I turn in the monitor they call me and tell me I have SVT which means my resting heart beat is somewhere between 150- 250 beats per minute. and I’m actually happy they figured it out I am on medicine that has kept the episodes down the about 6 in the last month from 8+ a day. I have lose 12lbs since I’ve started the meds and hopefully in 6 months they will re evaluate my heart and find a more permanent solution.
