Wedding date dilemma!!
Hi everyone, I’m recently engaged and we’re trying to set a date. We know what year we want to get married, but we’re having a difficult time setting an actual date.
When we get married we’ll both be teaching public schools.
But I am so in love with an October wedding!!! Which means that it’ll be just a short period for a honeymoon. Or we’ll have to wait until winter break for a “real” honeymoon. And then every year after that we won’t be able to do much for an anniversary (we’re huge travelers).
Maybe I’m thinking way too much into this, but the fact that we won’t be able to have a long honeymoon period and would possibly have issues every year after, makes me want to have a summer wedding.
Don’t get me wrong, I love summer weddings, but fall is my favorite season and always has been.
My now fiancé is perfectly fine with anything but winter (our dating anniversary is in the dead of winter and we’re always unable to spend it together because of snow storms).
I just don’t know what to do. I know we don’t need to decide on a date yet, we still have almost 2 years, but I’d love to just have one thing 100% set.
What do you all think? Are (or is your partner) a teacher and have had a fall wedding and anniversary? What’s it like?
I would love some input!!!
