New baby!! What can/did your spouse do to help you??

Question

I was curious what other ladies would say. 
What sort of things does or did your spouse do to help when you had your little one? 
What sort of things do you wish they would do or would of done to help more?
I’m interested to hear from new moms, moms with more then one, formula feeding or breast feeding moms. 
I had my little one last week and I’m breast feeding so He’s not able to help at night.  Ways my husband is helping has been, entertaining our 6 year old, running errands for me if I need anything. And picking up food here and there... 
Things I wish he would do more is feed me more haha. Also, be a little more understanding that I’m super sleep deprived.

My husband helps as much as he can. He'll take the baby after work so I can get a break. He wakes up to change him in the middle of the night, and takes over almost all the diapers while he's at home. He also cooks for us if I can't, or hangs out with the baby while I cool :)

My husband had to start his new job right when we had our baby #2 so i was alone for most part of the day but when he got home i gave him time to eat and relax watch tv for a few then he would take over diaper changing and baths. I was also breast feeding but eventually had to switch to formula so then he was able to feed our son and that way i was able to take a nap and give myself some self care. We also have a 6 yr old daughter so he would take her out for ice cream and walks with our dogs when things felt a little overwhelming.

My husband did everything I did except pump breast milk. He got up and changed as many diapers as I did; fed the baby, bathed the baby; everything. But we had serious conversations about what having a baby would be like for us. He knew I expected him to be hands on just like me. Both of us worked but we worked opposite shifts so that we didn’t need daycare.

I would wake my husband up in the early days to change diaper after baby breastfed and then swaddle baby up and put him in his bassinet. He became king of putting baby to sleep. He also would make food throughout the day and wear baby in the ring sling. That was with our first (I’m pregnant with our second) and I’m sure this time will be different as our needs will be different.
