What is better IUD or arm implant

Question

I'm going today idk what to do they promote the arm implant but everyone I know who has it complains about it. I dont want to bleed all the time. If you like the iud which one?

I have Mirena and it’s really helped me with having super heavy periods. They do much lighter and more normal. I had the implant years ago and had to have it removed because I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding and heavy periods.

My sister had the implant for three years after her 2nd one and she said it worked but complained about how it messed up her periods and now shes irregular and the flow and pain during is different from before the implant. Good luck.

I have a copper IUD and it’s amazing. 
My OBGYN doesn’t prescribe or even carry arm implants anymore. He even has a sign saying he won’t do them because they are dangerous and he isn’t a fan of the side effects.

The best decision I ever made was to get the Mirena IUD. I kept it in for the recommended 5 years and I never had any issues. My periods were super light maybe two-three days and I would only use a tampon on the first day. After that I could get away with a panty liner. I didn’t have any side effects, and when it was time to remove it I had no problems. I don’t know too much about the arm implant so can’t compare the two

I've had 2 IUDs and I honestly think they're great. I really wanted to stay on the copper one but my periods got so heavy I couldn't and got the Mirena instead. When I was in high school alot of girls had issues with their arm implants and had to get them removed so that scared me away from those lol.
