I think? one time I was taking a shower at 2am (I take late ass showers) after I got out I started hearing loud female crying. I thought it was my sister since her room is next to the bathroom, and so I rushed to get dressed to make sure she was okay. When I opened the door she was hugging my dog and she was really freaked out. She said she thought she heard me laughing really loud and a few seconds before she heard it my dog started freaking out and shaking. I said no, I thought it was her crying and that’s why I went to her room. It didn’t sound like it came from outside at all. It was loud and literally sounded like it came from her room. My dog also calmed down the second I got into the room? I have no idea what happened that night.

I used to live in a haunted apartment. I had a ghost I named frankie, no idea why either. One day a piece of mail flew across the room and i was like "what up frankie!". 
I used to be terrified of dark (had a stalker issue once that scarred me a bit..). When my boyfriend worked over nights I wouldn't leave the bedroom if I forgot to leave night lights on in the rest of the house like if I had to go the bathroom or something. 
One I night I had to pee SOOOO bad and I said out loud "shit I forgot the night lights!" And one by one they started to turn on through out the apartment. I thanked frankie and ran to pee. 
After that night the night lights were always on even if I forgot to turn them on.

I worked in a assisted living and a nursing home. I worked night shift as well. There were constantly shadows.  You knew who is was to by where they were and the pattern of them.
