32 weeks ?

So I’m a little confused. My due date is January 22nd and at my job my manager asked how many months I was and i said I just turned 8 months . She asked what was my due date and I said January 22nd she said that can’t be my due date if I just turned 8 months . She said my due date should be somewhere at the end of December. So I’m wondering how that goes ? I’m 32 weeks and my ob also been keeping track . So I’m a little lost

It’s like birthdays, you are as many months as you have completed.
So, you are in your 8th month, but you’re 7 months pregnant.
It’s like how I’m 28 years old because I have lived/completed 28 years. But I am in my 29th year of life.

Pregnancy is 10 months, so if you have 2 left to go, makes sense that you’d be 8 months now.

It's because most months are not 4 weeks exactly. So work backwards from your due date. On Jan 22nd you'll be 9 months,  so Dec 22nd you'll be 8 months, Nov 22nd you were 7 months and so on. That's the easiest way I've found.

Am also due Jan 21 and it really confuses me.
Anyways I never make it to the date always 2 weeks before due date I give birth.
So I just try to go with the weeks am 32 weeks too, 6 more weeks to go for me 🤞
