I am 1 week and 3 days postpartum and just starting this week I’ve been feeling sharp pains in my ass sorry to say it that way. Has anyone felt something similar or can anyone please tell me why am I having these pains in that area?

Yes a lot of sharp stabbing pains around the same time in healing as well. Only lasted a few days though, and felt like my healing progressed a lot quicker afterwards. Just one of the odd feelings in that phase of healing I assume. Hopefully it resolves quickly for you!

Could still be after pain/contractions maybe.  I’ve also had a lot of sharp/stabbing pains but further up and thinking it’s from weakened/traumatized pelvic floor muscles.  This is my 3rd delivery in 4 years so my body hates me I think.  I didn’t tear or need stitches so I think all my aches/ pains are stemmed from my pelvic floor and uterus just being beaten up.  
These could also apply to the bum area and muscles too!  The sphincter is part of your pelvic floor and one muscle that is normally traumatized by labor.
