I still have not been visited by AF. I'm now 24 days late!!

On October 30th I was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection, and now I'm almost a week late. When I went to the ER they asked if there was a chance I could be pregnant I said yes there could be. Well they never tested me for pregnancy. I'm just not sure if I should take a test or just wait. Advice and help would be greatly appreciated😊
