Do you use a sound machine in baby’s room

Question

If yes, will your baby sleep without it or do you always have to use it?
What age did you stop using it

I still use it at age two. She’ll sleep without it but I mostly keep using it so she doesn’t get woken up from other sounds outside her room.

My infant couldn’t care less, he’ll sleep with or without it. My 3 year old refuses to sleep without it. 😂

I still use it. 
My son is 3. 
But I’ve rocked him to sleep every night. We use the sound machine after  he is asleep. We have to use it on a very low setting. 
I still rock him to sleep every night and I will continue to do so until he tells me to stop. I’ll also use the sound machine until he says no.

Lol I sleep with sounds of falling rain. My kids are 1 & 2 and also sleep with a sound machine. They can go to sleep without it but I see they go down faster with it on.

I didn’t stop using it until my son started turning it off himself, which was around 2.5 years old. I wasn’t interested in changing something so he’d wake up more during the night lol. He doesn’t care either way now.

We have dogs that ate kinda loud so she sleeps better if it’s drowning out the sound. She’ll sleep without it too just not as well.

We slip an iPad under the door. She will only sleep to Beethoven’s Silence. It calms her instantly.

I didn’t use one per se with my first I just turned out AC unit fan on continuous so that it was somewhat white noise (v frugal here and didn’t want to buy yet another baby thing) and my second I was gifted the hatch rest and it has been a game changer, we live in a small apartment and all sleep in the same room so I would have to tip toe and not get into the fridge or anything in the night and with the sound machine I can pretty much do anything and both of them sleep without waking each other up. Oldest is 3 in dec youngest is 2 months.
