I have been on contraception since November 2014 using the implant which I had to get taken out due to complications so I went onto the pill which gave me a break every month but I never had a proper period and suffered with migraines so had to change to the mini pill, after a while I thought it would be a safer option to have the Sayana press injection just so I didn’t have to worry about taking the pill every day, after being on the injection for 2 months I decided I wanted to have a break from contraception to give my body a break. My injection was due to be re-done on the 3rd September 2019, I have been told it can take up to 3 months to have a withdrawal bleed which would be the 3rd December 2019. After an incident that happened at the beginning of October I am worried that I could be pregnant, I have had people tell me that they have had loads of negative pregnancy tests before they got a positive, today I have had bloods taken to test for pregnancy and other things as I have been really bloated, feeling sick, lower back pain and constantly feeling tired even if I get 8 hours sleep, but I am worried that it will come back that I’m not pregnant, I just wanted some advise from people to see how long it took for them to either have a period after coming off contraception or to get a positive pregnancy test.
