Would you have taken your two week old to Thanksgiving dinner?

I decided to sit this one out and not go to my bfs family house. Our 15 day old doesnt have his vaccines and my mil had a bad cold that's going around. I dont know if she still has it but yesterday when we talked to her, her voice was almost gone. I just didnt want to risk anything. My boyfriends kind of pissy about it though

I would have done the same thing,  colds turn into respiratory infections for infants and that's just too dangerous.

I did take my two week old son to Christmas last year but chose to wear him in a wrap on me and not let anyone else hold him. I knew my family would respect that and just admire him from a distance. If I didn’t feel like that would have been respected I probably wouldn’t have taken him.

I still will sit events out with even just my 3y/o if I know someone has been sick recently. I have a 2 month old now also so even more reason. It’s just not worth the risk IMO

I took my son to Christmas dinner when he was 3 days old, but no one was sick. If anyone had been sick we would have stayed home as well. You did the right thing in this situation!

I would have stayed my ass home with my 2 week old..cold or not..at that time i wasnt even feeling leaving the house while wearing big ol pads bc i was still bleeding...what u did was Not wrong..
