2% Salicylic Acid while pregnant

I stopped using my stridex pads when I found out that I was pregnant and have been breaking out like crazy.. I’ve read quite a few articles that say that topical 2% salicylic acid is considered safe.. but I’m wary.. any other mommas using it?
