Does age of 1st period have anything to do with race?

My friend and I were discussing this the other day. She is Hispanic and I'm white, she claims that Hispanics start puberty much earlier than White or Black girls. I'm just curious if this applies to the majority of the race or only for her family. Comment below if you're Asian with the age you started having periods(it wouldn't let me have any more answers). No no no🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s not race it’s genetics. Most girls start either a year earlier or later from when there mother started but some just start when ever.

Okay so I am white. But I come from a very diverse family because my mom fostered/adopted and I have a ton of Latina sisters. I have one my age (well I am a few months older) and I got my first period way way before her. I got my first period around 8. 
And then I didn’t have another one until I was 11 and she got hers when we were 12. 
I developed breast and pubic hair at 7, she didn’t. The rest of the girls didn’t get their periods until they were 12/13 
I do not think getting your period and puberty starting early has anything to do with race. I think it’s the artificial hormones that’s put into our food.

I’ve never heard of something like this . All my girlfriends ( 2 white , 1 mixed, 1 black) all started their cycles at 10-12 years old . I’m black and K started mine at 11, first day of six grade .  I don’t think race plays a role . I would think it’s more so the diet , activity ? I really doubt race plays a role in a girls period .

I'm White and Asian and I started mine at 14. I heard that body type has a lot to do with it. I'm very skinny and petite and I was told that women who are more muscular or have more weight on them start earlier.

I've heard that if theres a lot of girls together then their periods will synchronise with each other. Me and my best mate have synchronized periods and when I was in school a lot of the girls in my class all had periods at the same time maybe 2-3 days out from each other. I started mine when I was 9 and I'm white British
