Washing clothes before baby?

Hi what's your thoughts on washing new baby clothes or any baby clothes before baby arrival?

I’m washing anything that will touch my baby— clothing, hats, blankets, burp clothes, wash clothes, socks, car seat cover, sheets, changing pad covers. But I’m also super obsessed with having clean things lol

I washed most newborn and 0-3, but not everything. Then most blankets/swaddles and stuff like that. I wouldn’t go too crazy. You can return what you don’t use/take the tags off of!

I’ve washed everything before putting it away in baby’s dresser or room. 
I got some of that Dreft stuff but it had a very strong odor so the one load I did with it I rinsed an extra cycle and frankly that detergent doesn’t seem as nice or as hypoallergenic (added scent and all) as what I use normally (woolite dark wash). Just using our normal detergent unless there turns out to be a problem, then would try Tide Free. Really unimpressed with Dreft.

I washed everything including other sizes like 3-6 month and 6-9 month. Never know who touched all those clothes in the store or where they were processed and hung up and all that or if they were in storage before being put into the store. You should always wash babies stuff before use.

Yes even most tags will tell you to wash everything before use. It's very important with infants. Just do it!

I washed all of my baby’s clothes in dreft just because people touch them in the store and they fall on the floor and all types of stuff happens before they even get to you.

I washed NB(only have like 4 things in this size), 0-3 and 3-6. Also washed everything that I pulled from attic (all sizes) bc I couldn’t stand the smell.
