Here is some back story first. This family is super poor, they have 5 kids three dogs, a cat one sad lonely goat and chickens ( the chickens and goat live in a tiny tiny pen that might be okay for one chicken). They live in a tiny house and have sort of doomed everyone In it. Two years ago they got two puppy's for the youngest girls, they still haven't been fixed, they go to the bathroom all over the house because no one will take them outside for a walk. Now, I live in a large house with two cats and one dog and we treat them like royalty. This is mostly a rant about the poor cat. They got the cat as a kitten and brought his mom with they couldn't afford the mom so they took her to the pound (when they got the animals they signed a paper saying that they wouldn't do that). The litter box is always full to the brim, they only clean it once a week (you should clean it at least once a day at a minimum). The cat never has water and has still not been fixed. I have been taking care of the cat for about a week for Thanksgiving and he has been treated like a little king, I'm not sure how I send him back to that house where he will be neglected. They should not have any of these animals in the first place because they can't afford them, but you also don't need to be rolling in cash to do the things that animals need (cleaning the box, letting them out, protecting them from the dogs). I really want to tell them how to be better animal owners but I'm not sure how, nobody's even claiming the cat and half of them don't like him. What should I do?
