Breastfeeding support
Yesterday we had Thanksgiving with my husband's extended family and announced our pregnancy. Everyone was very excited and his aunt looks at me and says "are you planning to breastfeed?" I've been so nervous about this because yes I want to but I had no idea his families views on it. This is only the second great grandchild in the family and the other lives across the country.
So I nervously said "that's the plan!" And I swear the entire table let out a sigh of relief. Apparently they are all VERY pro breastfeeding. I literally started sobbing like an idiot at the dinner table because i was relieved.
His grandfather who is a man of few words, stands up and says "if anyone in this family tries to give you shit for feeding my great grand baby when and where you please, I'll write them out of the will!" And walks over and gives me a kiss on the forehead.
I am so thankful for all this support. I see so many women get shamed for it and I was terrified of that. 💚
