No contact with baby dad?

Would you completely cut off your baby dad? There’s a lot of stuff going on, but basically I asked him to help me with formula (child support order hasn’t went through yet) and he responded, even if I had money I wouldn’t give it to you. BD also lives with HIS dad and his dad told me my son “isn’t allowed there”. He’s 7 months old. But my BD was doing good at getting him every other weekend. Also, baby dads dad called the police because i went to his house to get some of my sons clothes. I didn’t even park in his driveway I parked on the curb also. (I had told him beforehand what time I would be coming and was polite.)

Do you guys feel like I should try and communicate or just have a family member of mine do drop off & pick up and avoid the bs.
