How long have you and your SO been married?

Need advice for how relationships that long even though it depends on the person and the mindset.

Almost 6 years. Communication and putting the other before yourself. At least once a day we ask each other if there us somethibg we can do to help them. If we see a chore that needs to be done, and we have time, we just do it.

Find out what Love language you both have and do something everyday for your SO that speaks their love language.  Listen to them and communicate to them any small problems before they become big problems.  If you get angry at them, figure out why and don’t speak to them in anger, be calm and rational.  If it’s hard to say something, write it in a letter or small note and give it to your SO.  Their “job” is to make you happy and your “job” is to make them happy.

7 years married as of yesterday. We got married pretty young. I was 18 and he was 20.  We have 3 kids together and expecting #4. Were very happy and blessed. It depends on the people and situation I guess. Just because people who get married young doesn’t mean it’ll fail, or just because you get married later on in life doesn’t mean it’s garnered to work. It takes two to make things work. I think comprehension  is the most important. What’s the use if two people communicate and one person doesn’t understand at all? So comprehension is very important. Both sides need to be heard and taken into consideration. Always communicate,  be honest with each other, love each other and be a team.

Been together 15 years, married for 9.5 years! Communication, realizing that marriage is a partnership, and truly leaning on each other in times of need are the best pieces of advice I can give. Sometimes, you need him more, so lean on him. Other times, he needs you more, so you put his needs first. Currently, I’m pregnant with twins and also raising our almost 3 year old. My body hurts, and I’m exhausted beyond belief. My sweet husband has been cooking dinner when I just absolutely cannot stand the smell of food, cleaning when I can barely move my body, and caring for our daughter so that I can rest in the evenings. I am more thankful for him now than I have ever been! 🥰
