What does this mean?

Didn’t really explain much other than it is a common thing? Anyone else have this and everything be ok? I’m just worried as this is my rainbow baby after 2 losses.

Yes with my first they found a spot on her brain and they thought a spot on the heart. They told me those separately don’t mean much without any other findings. It ended up the spot on her heart wasn’t there 2 weeks later & all 4 of my babies have had a cyst on their brain but all went away by birth and meant nothing. They’re apparently common and resolve on their own.

They found this at my anatomy scan. It’s called EIF, it’s a little calcium build up in the heart. In most cases it means absolutely nothing and may disappear before birth. Even if it doesn’t, the baby still will NOT have any heart conditions. This is so common that most babies with Asian descent have this.
Try not to google because there’s some scary info out there. Talk to your doc. Mine assured me that everything is ok and baby is perfectly healthy.

Could be a small hole (very very common) that will close on it own. Definitely follow up with your MD and request a echo for the baby later on. Best of luck Mama.

My baby girl has that same exact thing an EIF and the doctor did not seem concerned and there is no following up with it. She just asked if I wanted to do some extra testing cause it can be found in Down syndrome babies but it is also found in perfectly healthy babies as well. I get my results back any day now, but there is no other indicators that baby could have Down syndrome all facial features normal head is normal size so I feel it’s nothing to worry about! Get extra testing if you feel the need to be safe like I did I’ll keep you updated when I get a call back from the doctor!
