Baby boy is 5 weeks hes been crying all day i tried carrying gas relief and anything i could but nothing once i put him in his tummy it was like heaven hes currently snoring. Question... is there any way he can tummy sleep or he has to sleep in his back?

I know i’m gona get a lot of hate for this. But my baby is the same way. I ONLY put her on her stomach when I’m awake and near her. My baby is gassy and sometimes she poops or pass gas when i put her on her stomach.

I don’t think so. I’ve been told that it’s only ok if they get themselves in that position, but if you’re putting him in that position, it isn’t safe. Maybe it’s gas? I know that laying on your stomach - or putting a baby on their stomach in certain holds or laying down (supervised closely) is supposed to help with gas.

We do tummy time naps, which our pediatrician encourages because it counts as tummy time. Unfortunately, though, these naps have to be supervised, so one of us has to be with/watch her while she sleeps. (Which means I can’t get a nap in, too.)

As far as the crying, my baby was diagnosed with Colic and the pediatrician recommended probiotic drops. They make such a difference... she still cries, but not for hours like she used to. I’d highly recommend trying them!

So, during the day, only when I can respond to him immediately, so I let my son sleep in that position. He has strong neck muscles, but can’t flip himself over yet. But, when I do, I put the video monitor in my line of sight. So if I’m watching tv, it’s next to the screen. If I’m putting clothes in the dryer, it’s on top of the dryer. If I’m cooking, it’s on my eye-level shelf. Etc. so that way, when he moves I can see it immediately.
