Can you tell if baby is breech or head down?

Not sure if it’s something you can physically tell from the outside without an ultrasound. 
We have a scan next Monday I’ll be 36+3 and I know we will have a better idea of his position then, but I was just curious.

You can kind of tell by where you feel kicks. My baby is breach and the top of my stomach randomly will bulge hard and the bottom is all kicks and leg movement

It's called palpation or belly mapping. Look up videos on YouTube. But it is definitely possible to tell. Ultrasound hasn't been around forever.

You can usually tell. My baby girl has been breech from day 1 and I'm currently 33weeks. The top of your stomach is more hard (her head/ shoulders 
And her kicks are really low down almost feels like shes kicking your vagina 🤣 (tmi sorry not sorry) your midwife will be able to tell from feeling your stomach, and obviously ultrasounds.

I could tell when my baby girl turned her head down around 30 weeks because my belly got lower, like noticeable lower from my photos at week 29 and then 30 and then at my ultrasound sure enough she was head down. Hoping she stays that way. I'm not sure if it's possible or how common it is for them to flip back around? Does anyone know if that happens? Especially when they are head down by 30 weeks.

Your doctor should be able to easily figure it out without an ultrasound. They can feel around for the head externally—it’s a little weird but really cool. :)

You can tell by the movements. Doctors are really good at belly mapping too. When they feel your tummy they’re feeling for two round lumps (one is head, one is bum) if they wiggle the bump and the whole baby moves it’s the bum, and if just the bump moves it’s the head

Baby kicks. I can feel his hands and fingers around my panty line and his feet on my sides and ribs

My girl is head down and I feel more strong kicks towards the rib area and lighter punches in my groin area.
