New here, need to vent
I breastfed our daughter until a year, we just stopped a month ago but my husband and I wanted our babies close together to try to have them all in our 20's. So I wanted to get pregnant in july but I still haven't had a period. Shes 13 months now and I'm just worried my period wont come on its own. We had to do a couple rounds of clomid to get her, and before that I could go 6 months without a cycle. It's just got me stressed.
So I've been worried we will need another referral for clomid (we have tricare) but the pcm I saw once (they change who I see every two months) said because I was still bf at the time not to worry. Weve been talking about how long to wait before I make another appointment. Weve been having sex a lot lately, like more than before we had our daughter, which has been nice because usually I have a low sex drive.
Today I also had the realization that I'll probably be considered high risk next time around for a few reasons. I had gestational diabetes, and she was just a few days short of early term. I dont know what high risk will mean for me with tricare, I know civilian insurance and doctors are different. My cousin and I were due the same day last year and she had twice as many visits and ultrasounds as me, and my provider definitely didnt do 3d so she actually paid for that experience for us as our baby shower gift. Anyway, I'm also wondering how that would go since I'm in line for twins too.
All I've been doing is taking a cheap pregnancy test every few weeks just to make sure I didnt get pregnant before I had a period, taking ovulation tests frequently just sounds like a waste of money because I feel like I'm back to the same problem. Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated!
