Room Heater (or Alternative?)

Question

Our upstairs is where our rooms are located (which is where the nursery is) and it gets cold! We find that closing the door helps him fall asleep better because it’s quieter, however his little hands always get cold! I put him in a sleeper but none of the ones I own cover his hands. Are there any heaters that don’t take a ton of electricity or a really good sleeper suit that my son could wear? Thanks in advance!

We have a vornado infrared heater in our son’s room. It’s a box shape and we’ve been using it for 2 years now with no problems

Typically newborns don’t have the best circulation and as long as the neck area isn’t cold baby should be fine.

Get a onesie or sleeper with closed sleeves, or buy mittens. Space heaters are not safe and can sometimes get too hot.

I like the vornado heaters. Not a huge fan of their nursery model - the fan doesn’t turn off to try to cut down on noise disruption for baby but it means it blows cold air when the heat is off and you can still hear the heating element turn on/off. Their other heaters are good though!

Our HVac was turned off for about a month due to construction so we used our radiant oil heaters for sleeping and they worked very well. We have some from the Delonghi brand which have a temperature setting for easy control so it doesn’t get too hot. They’re also slightly cheaper to operate than most fan heaters.
