Self soothing?

Are your babies self soothing yet?
My son is terrible at it...
He needs to be held, the pacifier or fed to go to sleep! Day or night 
He’s also only sleeping 4-6 hours while I see other babies are sleeping through the night 😩

Most babies are able to self sooth only at 6 months old, so dont worry. He'll get there when he is ready.

My baby started sleeping through the night around 2 months old. During daytime I would open every curtain and let my house very bright, during her naps I would keep doing the same noise as usual so her sleep wasn’t that deep. Then for night time I would keep everything dark and quiet. At two months she would fall asleep around 12 so I started to put her to bed earlier and earlier only a few minutes everyday. By 3 months she would skip that 3 am feeding and fell asleep around 10/10:30. Now at 5 months she sleeps from 9pm to 7/8 am. She sleeps around 3 short (20 min /40) naps during the day. And I feed her with a few more ml for the last and first bootle of the day. And the self soothing I think its early yet. She used to fall asleep on her own at night but now I have to rock her for a few minutes. For me it comes and goes for now but I do think its early

Yup! We ditched the paci at 4 months and she’s learned to suck her thumb or hand. We follow Little Z’s sleep program and love it. Minimal issues and those are when she doesn’t feel well like an ear infection or cold.

Yes, and I’m honestly a little sad about it because she gets mad and frustrated with me if I try to rock her to sleep 😩 she’s not even 5 months old and already so independent, I thought the snuggles would last a little longer

Bub’s only 4 months old and it’s something that takes time to learn.
Mine will go some nights where she sleeps through and others where she needs help.
My eldest woke every two hours till he was one.
Every baby is different.

My little girl can but it’s quite hit and miss. I think it’s when she’s very sleepy she will do it. I’m still putting to dummy back in once twice a night.
