Best age gap?

Just wondering what everyone thinks the ideal age gap is! We’re talking about having another. We’re thinking a 20 ish month age gap!

I would say 2 years between pregnancy or 3 years between births...give n take a few months. Reason being it is tough. Also really nice to give the first baby time to grow a bit more, get out of diapers, talk, get all those super exciting milestones out of the way. Amazing before I had a child, I wanted a child the next year. But now, I know I want to wait. But I think everyone is different so any age might be perfect for you if it is what you really want deep down and it makes you happy.

My kids are 20 months, and it’s rough. It’s also awesome. I had a big long post written out about how terrible it’s been, but I didnt want to be a Debby downer. I think overall I’ve either been pregnant or breastfeeding the last 3 years so I think that’s a lot on a person! Add in toddler tantrums and newborns lack of sleep, it adds up.

My girls are 3 years, one month apart and I LOVE the age gap. My oldest was completely potty trained, able to dress herself, old enough to actually be helpful with fetching things, and will pick up after herself (sometimes this requires a little extra encouragement though😊). I thought I wanted them closer but it’s made having a newborn and another child so much easier when the older one can do basic stuff to take care of themselves and is also a little older and easier to explain things to. Plus, I loved that she was our only child for those 3 years. Sure right now the age difference seems bigger but in a few years I don’t think it will be as noticeable

I don't think there's a specific age gap that's right for everyone. I voted 2 years, because we want to start trying for baby #2 on our wedding day in Feb 2021. I feel like that gives my body time to repair, our family time to adjust and my daughter will (hopefully) be independent enough. I hate when people say they want their kids close together in age so they can be friends - but maybe that's because I really didn't get on well with my older sister 😬

I’ve already figured out I’d like to start trying for number 2 in December 2021. ￼￼lol if we get pregnant first time trying again they should be about 3 years and 3 months apart.

Mine are 21 months apart. It’s not so bad but it wasn’t fun being pregnant and taking care of a one year old

My son was 2 years, 4 months when I had my daughter and it was perfect. He was more independent and just potty trained so I can’t imagine having a smaller gap!!
