Spotting on cd 17 to cd 20

Could this have been a period or just in between spotting? On cd 17 I had 2 pink spots on my tp when I wiped. On cd 18 I had light brown spotting which stretched not even an inch. On cd 19 & 20 I had very very stretchy ewcm with a medium brown tinge to it. Today I'm on cd 36 & no period but that's normal for me. Took a hpt & I got a faint line on a blue dye & another faint line on a pink dye. Now I'm getting stark white on pink dye. Should I get a blood test? I'm seeing my regular dr tomorrow & I'm thinking about asking for a blood test to see my hcg levels & for the blood test that says yes or no.
