Did it burn my wrist?

I slept with a ponytail holder on my wrist and I woke up to my wrist stinging and took it off and Its been hours and hours and it still looks like this. It doesn’t look like much but it’s been bothering me any time I get water on it. You can’t tell but its puffy where it’s red. I’m thinking maybe it rubbed my skin raw? It feels like a rug burn. That is so weird I’ve never had this happen before and I have them on my wrist all the time.
