HPV??? Insight please!

If I have HPV is it something to freak out about it tell my partner who I’ve been with for a year or two? 
My doc said I might have it and it is freaking me out? I also am TTC? Any insight or experience on this would be great!!!

i had hpv... i was terrified of getting cancer. but i went for paps and biopsies just as my dr suggested. and i pumped vitamins in me like never before!!! she told me hpv clears in 1-2 years on its own! i cleared mine in about 6months or so. i had the kind of hpv that causes warts, that isn’t the kind that causes cancer but i was still scared. i learned that hpv is very common and most women have it, or have had it. i still have a couple warts, but some have went away when my hpv cleared!!  do everything your dr says, live healthy and you should clear it!

I was just diagnosed with low risk HPV. Low risk is the strain that causes warts. I've only been with my husband for the past 16 years and he's only been with me. HPV is extremely common and most people have or have had it. It can be something you've had for decades. It really isn't a big deal unless you've got high risk HPV, which is the strain that causes cervical cancer. But even then you may never get cervical cancer. What makes your doctor think you have it?
