My boyfriend is going to Canada with his friends to go skiing for all of Christmas and New years. I told him I was really excited to spend our first year together and start off the decade with each other but he told me he was going to be gone. He first asked me about it and then said he'll stay if I wanted him to. I expressed how important this was to me and how I've been looking forward to it since August. We've been dating for 11 months as of December 1st.

Also, his birthday is on the 15th & I asked him if he'd spend his birthday weekend with me since he'll be gone. He said I can see him for a few hours day of but ultimately has plans with friends.

I feel so heartbroken and unpriotized. Is this wrong?

Edit: My birthday was on Thanksgiving this year and I spent it with his family instead of mine because he wanted me to. It feels very unfair
