Are you doing a birthday party for their 1st bday?

This is my first child and he turns one in two months. Idk if I should do a birthday party or not, because he’s obviously not going to know what’s going on and what it’s about. I’m going to get him gifts and my family will too. I just don’t know if I should make it a party.

Yes, but small immediate family. Only as far as his aunts and their kids.

I thought about it but really it’s spending money for other people/kids to have fun. Plus my son is not really comfortable with crowds of people so I don’t think it will make sense to put him through it. Any birthday ideas that don’t include a party?

While the idea is nice, no. It’s more for the adults than the child... they won’t remember it.
And I don’t want my kid eating cake either so hahahahaha

I’m not really sure. I want to do a party but I have no one to invite. My son’s birthday will be on a Saturday which would be great except that my niece is getting married the same damn day, so all my family that I would have to invite will be at her wedding. And I haven’t received an invitation so, I guess I’m not going anyway.

My daughters birthday party plans got out of hand quickly 😬. I have two sisters who are married and have kids, my husband has two brothers both married with kids. Then add in grandparents on both sides. Turned in to having like 20+ people (including us). My house is really small so we decided to just pay to rent a room at the local aquarium. Everyone gets free passes to enjoy the aquarium so figured that’d be something fun for both kids and adults to do. 
Next year though it won’t be as big...I’m not inviting all of her aunts/uncles/cousins lol.
