which IUD do you prefer?

I’m thinking about getting the Paragard IUD (copper) because it’s hormone free. I’m wondering if anyone else on this app has it and can tell me some things about it?

I got the paraguard in May after having the mirena for 13 years (replaced every 5) no issues . Well last month period was 17 days late and this month 12 days early and heavier than normal !

I have Mirena and I love it.

I have a very heavy flow naturally. Didnt think the copper iud would make it worse but turned my 7 days into 10 plus and heavier. I switched to mirena and love it. Dont get periods. If you have a light to medium flow naturally you may do ok with the copper iud.

Be careful I got copper toxicity from it. Not fun!
