How will I know if the baby stuck?

Found out I was pregnant with my first at 4 weeks and 3 days. My doctor isn’t sending my for my first ultrasound until I’m 12 weeks. I am so worried that it won’t stick around. I wish I was able to see the baby sooner. I am so worried that it could be a chemical pregnancy or if I miscarry for the next 8 weeks I won’t even know. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Thank you already if you reply. Due date is August 9nd 2020 if all goes well. I have been praying so much.

As long as you dont have significant bleeding (my doctor said filling a pad in an hour is significant, while spotting can be normal) then you can assume that things are going fine. Its hard not to stress! The first pregnancy I had I took a test every other day until my first ultrasound because I was so paranoid. I realize now during this second pregnancy that I worried myself to death and didn’t get to enjoy myself. Trust that baby is growing according to plan and try to relax in the mean time, hydrate, and take your prenatal. It’ll be here before you know it!

It’s normal for first scans to be 10-12 weeks. But unless there’s any family history or medical conditions I wouldn’t assume baby won’t stick. It’s hard not to worry ik. But I think you will be ok.
