As a person who is white and engaged to a Mexican man, yes I would consider it interracial. But I guess that's not the "correct term" so no? 🤷 🤔  We just consider ourselves a couple and that's it.

Considering my husband is Mexican/Hispanic and is very much a blend of indigenous peoples from Mexico and I am very white with northern european roots, I would say we are an interracial couple. However, you can be Mexican and be white. You can be Hispanic and be white. So, if your SO is not white and you are, yes, interracial. If no (both white, different cultures), then y'all are just intercultural.

Latino/ Mexican/ Hispanic are not races. Most people from Mexico aren’t white. Race refers to physical characteristics, lots of people in Mexico are indigenous, white, black, or a combination. You can be any race and be from any country. My bf is from Dominican Republic, his race is black, white, and indigenous. he has a couple of Asian friends who were born and raised in DR, they are Dominican, Latino, and also Asian. There are lots of people of Italian and Spanish descent in Latin America, they’re Latino and white! Countries are not races!! Statistically speaking though, a LOT of Mexican people are indigenous and your relationship is probably interracial.
