Today was the best day ever. The tech at our 20w ultrasound said not to bother with 3D because our anterior placenta would block any view of his face. But we waited so long for this... years. And that whole time I had been dreaming of this day..

So, I booked a private ultrasound anyway and we went in today with zero expectations. I would’ve been happy just to see his little arms and legs moving around! But instead we got some great views of our baby boy and I’m just so happy right now.

He did spend most of the appointment with his legs extended up over his face so that made it a little difficult, but otherwise the placenta wasn’t a problem. So if you’re in a similar situation, I say, go for it- it’s worth a try!!

I know the pics aren’t perfect... These are stills from a video taken on my phone. We’ll get an edited dvd and color photos in the mail in a week, but I’m not very patient.

He is also DEFINITELY A BOY.
