Sooooo.. I fell for a french exchange student. I’m 14 in my first year of highschool and I’m in a French immersion program. For grade 7-8 I was in a French immersion school. In grade eight, one of my friends signed up for a French exchange program and she was in France for a couple months. She came back in May, and the girl she was staying with in France, came here in August. Me and my friend aren’t super close, I’m not sure if that friend knows I’m a lesbian (I haven’t told her but she is friends with some of my closer friends who know) and she is the kind of friend who I’m pretty sure she doesn’t really like me that much (she’s super nice when other friends are around but never really talks to me when friends aren’t around) so I’m kind of scared to do/say anything to the exchange student because her and my friend are super close.. so basically me and her met at orientation (I wasn’t Aware she was my friends exchange student at the time) and she was super nice and friendly and I just wanted to keep spending time with her?? So it turns out we didn’t have any classes together as all of my classes were in French and hers were in English except for when our gym classes overlapped and played volley ball together (she was really good at it! 😍) anyways she would always smile when we passed eachother in the halls. I was too afraid to talk to her when around our friends so we didn’t talk.. the day before she left I added her on Snapchat and we immediately started a streak. It started off with random pictures like of shoes/ skies type of things but then they became cute/silly/flirty selfies back and forth for hours at a time with a couple minutes in between. We have talked a couple times but I’m text it’s hard rather than in person because her first language is French and mine is English but when we do say some words it’s really nice. I don’t know what to do because whenever I see her post on her story with other people I feel jealous but I don’t have a right to feel jealous and I’m torn. I’m
