Hey all! So I started to notice my son was not saying as much as the kids around his age. He says dada a lot and momma sometimes , plus cat , ball .. sometimes good kick when he kicks a ball ... but not a ton .. I had ECI come evaluate him and they said he had a speech delay and possibly a cognitive delay .. the cognitive one didn’t make sense to me .. he stacks blocks , searches for hidden objects and finds them , figures out his age puzzles .. they came during his nap time so I feel like that one was off .. the speech I agree with though.. the next step is he is going to be evaluated by a speech pathologist..

Anyone else going through this, and are there things you do at home to work on it! He babbles a ton , we just have no clue what he’s saying .. I think they are going to check his hearing as well.
