Probably wierd and a TMI type if question

So my joke went bad 50/50 my boyfriend bought a vibrator..... and we went on with our business... but im starting to think my body is just weird because when he uses it on me im in rock god heaven, but when i tried to experiment without him it was a total failure.. am i the only one who just sucks at masterbating in general/with a vibrator?
