Styling products for 3 year old with cowlicks?

I know the pictures aren't great, but he decided he hates pictures and I can't get him to be still. Which products would you recommend for taming these cowlicks?

It's a growth pattern in the hair and no shampoo or conditioner is going to help. Unfortunately there's just lots of trial and error. My 2 year old has one, and cutting it shorter is the only thing that helps but since that doesn't work, I would keep it in a faux hawk style and use a molding cream. Dont use a gel, its wet and will cause the hair to stick up and dry in a position you might not want. Look for more pomades and a more dry product. You can try to use a blow dryer and a comb to lay the pattern down. But these suckers are strong lol

I would keep his hair a bit shorter to keep them tamed. That’s about all that’s going to work.

I forget people suggest cutting it for this problem. But it doesn't work with my son. This was taken two weeks ago:

If his hair is any shorter than it is in the above pictures, all of it sticks up like this. And although the cowlicks are not pictured, they are worse. Mainly looking for any types of shampoos/conditioners/gels to help.
