What am I doing wrong ? :(

My son is 20 months old and he is super naughty and never listens a word we say. We went to holiday get together, and there were kids around 2yr old and those kids are well behaved. But, mine pulls everything, screaming, throwing tantrums. I couldn’t manage. So, my husband and him has to leave. I feel so bad. I don’t know how to teach or help him. I sometimes feel I’m doing wrong and feel terrible about that.

We are born knowing nothing. We don't have language, we don't know what feelings are & we definitely don't know what/how it is socially acceptable to act when we feel feelings. We have to learn all these things. The way your kiddo is acting is normal. How you respond will delegate how your kiddo learns to deal with & respond to emotions. It is an on going thing & will not be solved with a single action. Look into discipline techniques & decide what goes with your personal parenting style. Pick one, implement it & stick with it & eventually your kiddo should follow. If after a few weeks or months of consistency, you kiddo is not responding, read up again and try a difficult style. Everything sounds normal. You just have to start teaching your kiddo what is & is not accepted & start trying to help them understand what they are feeling & how to productively deal/express with those feelings.

It’s all about how you discipline and how well you keep your word when you say your going to do something you do It. Don’t just threat. Also be consistent when It comes to disciplining keep the same punishments don’t keep changing them unless needed. Just keep discipline and staying stern your kid will get It sometime.

It’s called terrible twos for a reason, toddlers do not understand as much as what we think they do. Their brains are still developing and trying to make sense of everything and they can’t express how they are feeling so they have tantrums
to show you. 
Be patient, and remember the age difference between you and your child, it’s a big one.
