Family appropriate or not?

Hubby brought up wanting to go to a hot spring in January. I immediately thought it would be nice to have time just him and I. 
However, he wants our 18 month old to come. I'd love to have a family trip but, this trip in particular I'd like to be a couple trip to relax and have a couple days just us. 
Hubby sees him weekends because of work while I'm there 24/7. Is selfish of me too want just 2 days just us?

How hot does the water get? It’s possible your toddler can’t even join. It sounds like a really nice couples trip though!

My son is almost 2 and I’ve yet to bring him on a vacation with my husband and I. We use those times to recharge and reconnect. My son is too young to know the difference. We will include him on age appropriate vacations later in his life, but will always have solo vacations as well.

You need to talk to him and come up with a solution. The hot springs can be family or a couples trip so it’s not inappropriate for baby to go but I also understand you want time with your man alone. If y’all talk about, I’m sure you can come up with a compromise. Maybe do a family trip in a couple of months or something like that.

He only sees his baby on weekends? I think you need to take that into account. It's understandable that he wants time to bond as a family.
