Any hair stylist out there? I need some tips on a perm

So I was looking to get a perm and so do you need to have nothing done to your hair to get a perm cause I’ve dyed my hair in the pass. And how bad does it ruin your hair? And if you can any other good tips about perms

I’m a hairdresser and if you have bleached hair I would absolutely not get a perm, but your hair is colored I would wait a couple months before getting a perm. Perms can be drying and damaging so if you’re planning on getting one I would get the right products to help to care of it too!

Perms chemically change the structure of your hair. They can cause some damage and dryness so it's "not" advised to proceed with a perm of you already have dry and damaged hair. Also, if you have bleach in your hair perms don't really mix well with that since they're both chemicals... with that being said, people do perms all the time with all different types of hair. I would speak with the stylist that you want to have your hair done by and go from there.
