It took my daughter a second to cry. It’s totally normal because the fluid isn’t pushed out of their lungs by moving through the birth canal

Either way there can be a delay in crying because they need their airways cleared. Some kids just don't want to cry honestly, I've seen birth stories and videos where the babies didn't cry until the nurse or doctor either rubber them with the towel a bit or flicked their foot. Some kids are just less dramatic on their birthdays lol 😉
