Ear piercing for little girl?

Thinking of getting babies ears pierced for Christmas. All babies in my family got them done this young. My holes have never grown over and I love the option of not having to wear them and wearing them whenever !

I had a boy but have always had the firm belief that ear piercings should wait until they’re old enough to ask and communicate if the piercing is bothering them. I got my ears pierced when I was 8. I wore studs for maybe a year and then started taking them out and they’ve never closed. I only wear earrings on special occasions and they’re still open just as much as before

I didn’t get mine done until I was in 2nd grade for the first ones and 7th for the second ones. By 8th grade I hardly wore earrings and mine have never closed, I still have the option of wearing earrings or not and I am almost 32.

I got mine pierced as a baby too. I’m not going to do it to my daughters though. I know the pain is not lasting, but I would rather not put them through pain if it can be avoided. Looking cute in earrings is definitely not necessary, so it’s just not worth it for me (even if it’s just a moment of pain). That’s just my personal reason

I won’t for a few reasons. First I just don’t see the point in causing unnecessary pain for my little one. She’s too young to voice her opinion if she would want to go through that pain. Also I’m a busy mom with a 3 year old also so I definitely don’t need another thing to try and keep clean and worry about. My mom made me wait until my 11th birthday when I was responsible to clean them on my own. I think she had the right idea.

We're pressing next week. She will be four months. We are taking her to a real piercer at a tattoo shop. The piercing guns aren't good for your ears I hear. That's my only recommendation. The piercer requires shot records though.

Everywhere I’ve contacted has an age limit , the lowest I’ve found is 3 .
My friend took her 7 year old daughter in a couple towns over and they turned her away until
She turns 8 even tho her daughter was begging them .

Office and she done great and we like
To do them while they are young just like my other 2 daughters 💕🤷‍♀️

My parents were early piercers, so I’ve had mine since I was a baby as well. We’re not piercing hers until she asks for it to be done, at which point we’ll gladly go. Just seems like another thing to take care of, and I’m not looking for more work right now. 😂
