We woke up with the same thing a week ago. We went to the pediatrician and she gave us an antibiotic eye cream to put on it and stop the infection

My baby had same thing when she turned 2 weeks. I just massaged her eye and used a warm wet washcloth to constantly wipe it clean. It was gone within 2-3 days.

I would get that checked out especially if it’s pink eye.

Definitely looks like a blocked tear duct, my baby girl has this issue with both of her eyes! 😔 Breast milk helps!

This happened to my baby and I was so worried I took her to the doctor but they said it was a blocked tear duct. If baby isn’t having any other sign of illness (eating well, not super fussy, no fever) then just clean it periodically with water and a cotton ball and massage the tear duct. 
At the next appt though let your pedi know, if it persists for a long time they can do a procedure to unblock it. But usually they outgrow it

My baby’s eyes were just slightly gooey the day of her appointment and the pediatrician said blocked tear ducts are very common and to massage the inner corner with a clean finger. I do it when I wipe her face with a wet wash cloth. (Which I try to do every morning because she’s a messy eater.)

It looks like more than a blocked  tear duct to me, the eye  lid looks a little inflamed compared to the other eye, my babe has a blocked duct and his eye has crust on it every day since birth but not as much as what your little one has,
