Trying to get the guts to ask/ tell my mom that a guy at school asked me to go on a date basically I dont know, he asked if I wanted to carve pumpkins and go to a haunted place and that he would pay for everything, so I guess it's a date?

But I'm just sacred to tell my mom, she's the type to judge people that she don't know and always assumes the worst about guys I date, but she's being a mom I understand that, but I'm just scared to ask/ tell her I really can't talk to my mom, so if anyone could give me advice to get the courage to tell my mom or how to tell her
