Birth control

So I’m going on birth control for the first time ever, since just having a baby I want to be extra careful and give my body time to heal before we try for baby n2, I’m not sure which birth control is best for me I’m thinking about the pill, don’t really want the iud/implant

Any side effects to the pill? Any pro’s and cons?
