How much does labor actually cost?

Granted every pregnancy is different, but what was your labor fee? Did your insurance cover it?

It all depends on insurance. My husband and I pushed up our wedding date so I could get on his sooner. The one with my work sucked. It was $1300 before my insurance would kick in and pay 80%. I was already at $1000 in 3 nurse visits and 3 ultrasounds at 8 weeks. Now I am on my husband's insurance which is $5 Co-pays for office visit, nothing for labs, $50 for ultra sounds and 200-250 for the delivery...

With my daughter I got the bill for 20, 000 (vaginal delivery but I was in labor for 2 days.) All I was responsible for was $6. For the omlet my husband ordered the 2nd morning I was STILL in labor. Everything else was covered :)

Actual cost in the U.S. is approximately 8,000 for simple vaginal delivery and maybe 30,000 for c section.

My husband has county insurance it's the best in the area. I paid $100 and then there's a $25 Co pay for ultrasounds, but that's it. I don't pay anything for regular appointments, I'm completly covered up thru baby's 6 week check up. It's very nice.

Mine will cost around $2400, that includes my yearly deductible and once we spend $2400 out of pocket baby, husband and I will be covered 100% for the rest of the year so that will be our total cost for any medical services in 2016.

It all depends on your insurance. Mine covers everything but 20% facility charge, 20% delivery fee, and babies hospital stay. Mine cost a little under 2000$ total and I will have the same insurance for this one as well.
